In the Room
The location is beautiful and the breakfast was very good. Lovely views from the restaurant.
Could have been a bit tidier for a 4 star hotel
We were upgraded to a suite in the Manor which was just a few yards from the hotel. It was lovely and spacious. I found the bed extremely comfortable. The area was quiet and we had a view of the golf course and lakes in the distance. Everything was very clean and the bathroom was also very spacious.
I found the staff to be extraordinarily helpful - opened the kitchen after hours to make us some excellent sandwiches.
Nice hotel on lovely grounds, peaceful countryside retreat.
Very nice room and excellent breakfast. Great service as well.
Not the easiest to find and quite a bit out of the way if you aren't staying there for the golf.
I liked the peaceful atmosphere it was perfect
The staff were all very nice freindly and helpful and the scenery was beautiful
The only thing I could say could be improved was the lighting in the room Very poor lighting for the ladies applying make up a stronger bulb and mabey one over a mirror would be good
We went for a wedding there and thought it was a lovely place. The food was excellent, the falicities were luxury but not too much. Very comfortable.
The price of drinks were excessive... Very excessive!
The hotel is beautiful, the staff were very friendly, and it is convenently located with beautiful scenery around it.
We went for a wedding reception. Had a great day.
The water in the hotel was a dark colour. Couldn't have a shower because it would make you dirty. Had to use bottled water to brush our teeth. There were still 50 guest up and they closed the residence bar at 3am and the guest were still sitting in the bar at 4.30am with the bar staff just standing around looking.
water from taps in room was murky-mineral deposits apparently but was a concern when travelling with a baby-it ran brown, but it was a temporary problem due to a new pump being fitted
The peace and quiet. The Elk Bar. The views all around. A wonderful round of golf. The friendliness of the staff. The easy route from Rosslare via the n11, Enniscorthy, Bunclody, Baltinglass, about 90 mins. Some great drives, paticularly through Valleymount, Lockstown, Granabeg and on up to Gledalough. The breakfasts were great and I was able to order Omlettes and fried eggs.
2 meals that we had. One was at about 9.30 the night we arrived, pretty poor fish and chips. Almost dried up I should have complained but did not. The second was a Caesar salad on the Thursday aftrenoon.
Excellent hotel which has started to reach its potential .
Friendly and comfortable.
Restaurant menu limited. Ordered champagne that was managed very poorly. Not cold, not put in ice and had to ask barman to open it.
room was fantastic, views were great. breakfast room looked out over golf course
